2006 Chrysler Town & Country 3.3L Base Model Gas Tank Capacity?
I bought a 06' Town & Country and the gas tank is suppose to be a 20 gallon tank, but when i fill it up when it's almost on empty i can fit about 13.8 gallons? Could this mean this model van has a different thank even though on the papers its written that it comes with a 20 gallon one?
Fuel tank capacity is probably 20 gallons as stated. A lot of cars have very inaccurate fuel gauges that read "empty" when there's quite a bit of fuel left in the tank. Of course, 6.2 gallons is a lot. Maybe the Town & Country just as a very inaccurate fuel gauge.
(I've been told this is intentional as draining the tank down a lot is supposed to be bad for some engines but I don't know if that's true.)
